Abstract EN

The study was based on direct observation and field study, which included an accurate questionnaire distributed at a rate of (15% ) to the shops and by (400) forms to obtain the most accurate data.

In terms of their numbers, types and distribution, some of them created a bypass by the city's residents in most commercial streets and were not established by the municipality and were not subject to planning standards and were considered a reality, which negatively affected the urban environment of the city, causing public and planning problems and pollution (noise and visual).

In conclusion, the research concludes with results of effective value in defining the problems of the commercial function of the city, and based on them, a set of recommendations were formulated.
