Abstract EN

The study based on the field and direct observation, which included a questionnaire form distributed to the population of the city at a rate of (3% ) and by (372) forms to obtain accurate information.

The results indicated that commercial establishments (stores) have emerged and expanded greatly in the streets of the city.

In terms of numbers, types and distribution, some of them were randomly arisen by the population without official approval of the government agencies represented by the municipality departments.

Those stores caused their failure to comply with the planning standards that imposed themselves as a reality.

Those stores influenced negatively on the urban environment of the city, causing general problems and, visual and noise pollution.

Thus, the study was concluded with the results of the study based on those problems, and based on which a set of recommendations were formulated.
