English Abstract
The aim of this study was to identify the training needs for principles of public schools in the state of Kuwait in light of the knowledge economy, and to identify the differences of statistical significance in the response of the sample members according to the variables (gender, scientific qualification, and management experience).
The study population included of the principles of public schools in both the educational capital district and the Jahra educational district.
To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive survey approach was adopted by developing a questionnaire consisting of (46) items and distributed to four dimensions (Planning, dealing with the teacher, dealing with the student, dealing with the local community) whose validity and realability were verified.
The researcher withdrew the study sample using the comprehensive survey method.
Thus, (181) questionnaires were distributed and the number of valid questionnaires for statistical analysis were (178).
The data was analyzed by SPSS.
The results showed that the level of t training needs for principles of public schools in the state of Kuwait in light of the knowledge economy from their perspectives came at a medium rating, where the dimension of dealing with students ranked first, and the dimension of dealing with the community ranked second, and ranked third of dealing with the teacher, and ranked fourth in the dimension of planning.
The results showed that there are statistically significant differences in the dimension of (dealing with the teacher) in favor of males, and also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the dimension of (dealing with students) in favor of the level of experience ( 10 years or more).
The study recommended the need to encourage the principals of public schools in the State of Kuwait to use information and communications technology to reveal students' inclinations, desires and trends, and to communicate with the local community in order to identify their needs and work to solve the educational problems facing them.
finally, the researcher recommended that we need to encourage writing about this subject in Arab research center and encourage researcher to write in such subject.
