English Abstract

This study aimed to shed the spotlight on the Kuwaiti-Qatari relations in the time period from 1971 to 1991 AD, which is the era in which the demise of British influence and withdrawal from the Arab Gulf region began, and this study ended in 1991 AD, and this year has witnessed several important milestones in the history of Kuwait and Qatar, this year the international coalition forces removed Iraqi forces from Kuwait, and in this year the principles of the Damascus Declaration to protect Gulf security took place, in which Kuwait and Qatar participated, and Kuwait and Qatar signed this year several bilateral agreements to protect its security with each From the United States US, Russia, European and Western powers.

This study focuses on the political aspect of relations between the two countries.

It relied on published and unpublished documents and sources and references related to the time period covered by the study.

The study followed the analytical history approach; To study historical facts and reach through them the results of those historical events related to the subject of the study.

The study came to five chapters and a list of sources and references.

The first chapter included the theoretical framework for the study, the second chapter dealt with Kuwaiti and Qatari political relations 1971-1980 AD, and the third chapter dealt with the Kuwaiti-Qatari political relations 1981-1991 AD, while the fourth chapter dealt with the vision of Kuwait and Qatar for the security of the Arabian Gulf, as for the fifth and final chapter, it included the position of Kuwait and Qatar on the Palestinian issue between 1971-1991, and a conclusion and list of studies that depended on it.
