English Abstract

The study aims to identify the relationship between self-confidence and its relation to risk and wisdom among secondary students in Al-Jahra educational region in Kuwait.

To achieve the objectives of the study, three mea sures were developed: self-confidence measure (20) items, risk measure (20), wisdom (20).

The sample of the study consisted of (500) male and female secondary school students in Jahra area.

The results of the study showed that the level of self-confidence was high with an average of 3.89 and a standard deviation of 0.29, and that the risk level was high with an average of 3.51 and a standard deviation of 0.45, and that the level of wisdom was an average of 3.18 and a standard deviation of 0.49.

There is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (α ≤0.05) between the arithmetic mean of the male and female respondents in risk and wisdom, risk for males and wisdom for females, and there are no statistically significant differences in self-confidence due to sex.

There are no statistically significant differences at (α≤0.05) in self-confidence and risk due to the class variable.

There is a statistically significant difference in wisdom due to the grade between the tenth and eleventh grades and for the eleventh grade, and between the tenth and twelfth grades and for the tenth grade, Eleventh and twelfth grades and the eleventh grade.

(0.179**) were statistically significant at the level of (α ≤0.01) for the responses of the individuals in the study sample between self-confidence and wisdom, and a non-functional relationship (0.026) for the responses of the study sample members between self-confidence and wisdom, Study sample individuals between self-confidence and risk.
