Abstract EN

Deek Al-Jin lived in the Abbasid era, he is considered one of the great poets of that period.

He did not leave his city of Homs throughout his life.

He did not approach the ruling authority, neither the caliph nor any other statesmen.

He is known to be one of the supporters and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and he did not approve the rule of the Abbasid Caliph, Thus he did not compose poems that praised the Caliph and his ministers, like the rest of the poets of his time.

He married a Christian girl whom he deeply loved, she also exchanged love with him that she converted to Islam.

During his ence, his opponents took advantage of that to spread the rumor that she had betrayed him.

When he heard about it, he killed her without investigating it.

After the situation was clarified and the truth emerged, he regretted a lot, and as a result, sadness accompanied him until he died.

Most of his poems were manifested lamenting her with burning pain and great sorrow
