English Abstract
This study aimed at identifying leadership behavior by human virtues among public secondary schools' principals in Al-Karak governorate and its relationship with teachers' motivation from teachers' perspective as well as the relationship of that with some demographic variables.
The study sample consisted of ( 390 ) male and female teachers who were chosen randomly from the public secondary schools in Al-Karak governorate.
The study used the correlation descriptive approach.
In order to achieve the study objective، the researcher developed a questionnaire that consisted of ( 78 ) items divided into two parts: a tool for measuring leadership behavior by human virtues which consisted of ( 38 ) items distributed to five domains as well as a tool for measuring motivation level which consisted of ( 40 ) items distributed to five domains ; their validity and reliability were verified.
The study results showed that the level of practicing the leadership behavior by human virtues among public secondary schools' managers was medium and that the level of motivation towards teaching job among the public secondary schools' teachers in Al-Karak governorate from their perspective was high.
The results revealed that there is a positive correlation relationship between leadership behavior by human virtues among public secondary schools' managers and enhancing teachers' motivation.
The results showed that there are statistically significant differences due to the impact of gender on the level of leadership behavior by human virtues among public secondary schools' managers in favor of males and for the impact of educational qualification in terms of ( superiority and Spirituality ) in favor of post graduate studies، while the results showed that there are no statistically significant differences due to the impact of years of experience and the rest of the domains.
The results showed that there are statistically significant differences due to the impact of gender on the level of teachers' motivation in the domains of (the needs of self-esteem and actualization as well as the needs of aesthetic taste ) in favor of female teachers as well as differences due to years of experience in favor of ( 10 years or more )، while there are no statistically significant differences due to the impact of educational qualification and the other domains.
In the light of the results، the study recommended holding training courses for male and female school managers in order to raise their awareness and train them to practice the leadership behavior by human virtues due to its impact on increasing motivation among teachers.
