English Abstract

The study aimed to identify the Iranian intervention in Iraq from a political and legal perspective for the period ( 2003 - 2018 ).

The study examined Iran's use of its tools of militias, organizations and parties in Iraq at all levels.

Politically, Iran's role in forming Iraqi governments in proportion to its interests and religiously by facilitating the pilgrimage of Iranian Shiites to the holy sites of Iraq such as Najaf and Karbala, the economic level the exploitation of natural and oil resources in Iraq, and the justification for the Iranian intervention in Iraq on the pretext of protecting it from terrorism and calling ( ISIS ) and provision of humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people.

The study relied on the use of descriptive analytical methodology to understand the problem of Iranian intervention in Iraq from a political perspective.

The legal approach also reviews the legitimacy of Iranian intervention in Iraq from the legal perspective and the legal problem of this intervention in international law.

The study concluded that the Iranian leaders were able to translate the principle of exporting the revolution on the ground where the militias and parties loyal to Iran in Iraq and the Arab countries are tools and arms to implement their policy and preserve their interests.

The study recommended that the Arab countries should benefit from the experiences Iran in respecting its people and its Shiite communities throughout the world through support and assistance.
