Abstract EN

Muslims scholars are unanimously agree on the significance of Sahih al-Bukhari, as it is recognized by the vast majority of Muslim scholars in both Islamic heritage and modern Islamic era as one of the two most trusted collections of the prophetic tradition.

It is also accepted in the Muslim world and considered as the most authentic collection of narrations of the prophet’s hadiths.

Yet, some criticism is addressed to it.

This paper aims at studying the Criticized Hadiths addressed to Al-Bukhari’s collection in the book Manar al- Islam to highlight the reality and the scientific grounding of this criticism in light of the science of Hadith.

The inductive and analytical approaches were adopted in the study.

The findings showed that the criticism addressed to the Sahih al-Bukhari in Manar al-Islam originally belongs to Ibn Qattan al-Fasi, one of the Muslim scholars who acknowledged the importance and authority of Sahih al-Bukhari.
