موقف المستشرق ويليان موير من جمع القرآن : دراسة نقدية

Abstract EN

This research critically analyzes the thoughts of the English orientalist Sir William Muir in his book (The Qur’an, its linguistic composition, teachings, and testimony to other Holy Scriptures); which mainly concerns the issues of the Compilation of the Qur’an.

The study applies scientific- inductive methodology and critical analysis, which is epistemologically compatible with true revelation and explicit intellect, in exposing his scientific errors, methodological fallacies, concealed truths, and his intention to raise suspicions.

The study included several results, the most important of which is that the obvious aim of orientalists in studying the topic of the compilation of the Qur’an is to stir doubts on the authenticity of the Holy Qur’an as an attempt to strip it off its sacredness.

In fact, it seemed that he was deeply influenced by the projective approach that addresses the Qur’an as if it were common literature.

He also demonstrated bigot prejudice bias and severe antagonism via his offensive claims while expressing his views on the compilation of the Quran, which explicitly lack fair share on various aspects.
