One of the most important new trends in Algeria's foreign economic policy is the strengthening of its foreign trade with the countries of the African continent, especially neighboring ones, as they are a promising market and an important economic future.

one of the practical projects in this framework aimed at establishing a true economic partnership is the initiation of the trans-Saharan road, which will constitute a pivotal link to strengthen trade exchanges between Algeria and the rest of the continent.

through this study, we tried to point out the essential role of the trans-Saharan road in increasing the volume of foreign exchanges, especially those that are settled according to the border trade barter system.
