The aim of this research paper is to delve into the dimensions, causes and effects of the spread of the linguistic pollution phenomenon that has been linked to social networking sites and which its danger is due to the ambiguity that characterizes it.

it is a vague linguistic phenomenon, not governed by linguistic, morphological, grammatical, or spelling rules, and everyone who uses this new linguistic system acts according to his need and according to his desire, sometimes writing the colloquial dialect using Arabic letters with clear thinness in expression, in addition to linguistic, grammatical and morphological errors, and another time he writes in colloquial dialect using foreign letters (French or English) which results broken compositions and structures, and a lot of grammatical and morphological errors, more than that some people write on social networking sites a mixture between a linguistic pattern composed of the two previous linguistic forms, and a third iconic format in the form of pictures.

therefore, the result of this shocking situation, which affected an important aspect of the linguistic system of classical Arabic, made those who are interested in the Arabic language sound the alarm, and explicitly indicate the danger of such linguistic systems for the Arabic language.

this paper aims to find solutions and possible mechanisms to reduce the spread of this phenomenon.
