This modest research article is based on a sociological approach which itself relies on the method of deconstruction and reconstruction of the cognitive foundations and the fundamental methodological premises on which Malik Bennabi's thought was based to deal with a problem that we consider very important and more than necessary linked to the question of renewal and change in its relation to the reality of multidimensional crisis of underdevelopment that Arab societies have known since the Almohad period.

the cognitive value and the scientific strength of this analysis appear and depend on the conditional and functional link between the possibility of success of the renewal process as a choice and as a method adopted by the different active forces of society and the philosophy of the civilizational project as context of belonging first and as end of achievement on the other.
