Abstract EN

This paper observes the reality of Arab science and technology research, drawing comparisons with leading international experiences, to forecast the trajectory of Arab science and technology research and outputs.

The paper is based on the most important indicators in terms of gross domestic expenditure on research and development, the number of researchers, scientific publications, and patents.

It conducts comparative study with some of the most important leading international experiences in research in science and technology, which include North America, the European Union, and eastern and southeastern Asia.

Finally, it charts three future scenarios for research in Arab science and technology.
