Abstract EN

This research studies the critical role of the scientific and technological development of the renewable energy sector in the Arab countries, and observes the manifestations and future prospects of the energy transition in these countries, in light of the fluctuations of financial and human investments in the post-pandemic period, and to identify strategies and procedures that may contribute to accelerating the energy transition through the development of renewable energies in the future, and supporting social and economic development in the Arab countries in a sustainable and equitable way.

This paper deals with three Arab experiences, namely Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco, and considers the common challenges of the increasing demand for energy, and the pressures of the labor market, which provide the three countries with the opportunity to diversify energy and alleviate the high unemployment rates among young people.
