Abstract EN

This article presents the trajectory of Friedrich Nietzsche and highlights his suffering as a mark of a conception of education that concerns self-criticism.

The experience of suffering seems to indicate the experience of the beyond man (Übermensch), just as it is through the will to power (Der Wille zur Macht) that the contradictions of life can be revalued.

So, thinking about Nietzsche and education demands the analysis of the individual dimension, given that this thinker lived beyond his time and, for this reason, his conception of education is equally untimely.

If it is possible to undertake self-criticism as an educational task, perhaps we can argue, with Nietzsche, that life is a will for power and nothing more.
