The traditional houses of Samarra constitute one of the series of architectural development in the city throughout the ages, with its architectural elements and decorative formations.

The study came to shed light on one of the heritage roles in the city of Samarra, namely the house of Sheikh Sayyid Muhammad Al-Naqib, which still retains the largest part of its planning and architectural elements that can be considered collectively a model of the heritage house structure in the city of Samarra during the Ottoman era, Moreover, it represented the architect's efforts to translate his architectural ideas according to climatic conditions.

The study dealt with the planning and architecture of this house and the historical events associated with that time, the study relied mainly on field study that formed the subject of the research due to the scarcity of studies related to this house.
