Abstract EN

The current research aimed to design a mobile application based on digital incentives and rely on it in teaching educational content, and then measure its impact on student teacher engagement in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Resorting to the design of the proposed application was based on the fact that the Covid-19 pandemic constituted a new context for the learning process that led to the educational process becoming entirely through applications and digital sources in a complete state of isolation that greatly affected students' engagement in learning, and showed their need for incentives systems to enhance their capabilities In learning through digital sources.

The quasi-experimental approach was used to compare the first experimental group that used the proposed mobile application based on digital incentives, and the second experimental group that used the same mobile application but excluding digital incentives.

The research sample consisted of (60) students from the Faculty of Education, who were distributed randomly to the two research groups.

A measure was developed for students' engagement in learning through digital sources during the Covid-19 pandemic, the scale included three domains: the cognitive domain, the behavioral domain, and the emotional domain, and each domain have eight indicators.

Through the research results, a digital mobile application was developed based on digital incentives to provide educational content via smartphones.

The results showed the preference of a mobile application based on digital incentives compared to applications that do not include any incentives in the development of engagement in learning among the research sample.
