يجتاح فيروس كورونا المستجد (المسمى سارس-كوف-2 كوفيد-19) العالم اجتياحا واسعا منذ بداية عام 2020، و يلحق تأثير الجائحة جميع القطاعات و النشاطات، بما في ذلك البحث في مجال العلوم الاجتماعية.
و تتناول هذه الدراسة بتفاصيل دقيقة الطرائق التي تعاملت بها المؤسسات الحكومية الغربية و علوم الطبيعة و المجتمع مع هذا الاضطراب الشامل الذي هز أركان مجتمعاتها.
و تبرز الدراسة بعمق أن التعقيدات اليومية اللامتناهية التي أحدثتها الجائحة في حياة مجتمعات رأسمالية-صناعية و ديمقراطية-حضرية، و بيروقراطية، و فردانية، هي وليدة متخيل الحداثة الذي تبنته منذ عدة قرون، و ردود فعل هذه المجتمعات الجماعية و الفردية و التكنولوجية و الأخلاقية و البحثية تجاه حجم التحديات التي واجهتها.
و خال كل هذا التوصيف، حرصت الدراسة على إظهار موقع العلوم الاجتماعية في هذه العملية الواسعة و الخلفيات الإبستيمولوجية للأسئلة المتعددة التي طرحتها على نفسها و على علاقتها بالمجتمع و بمراكز القوة فيه.
Abstract EN
The worldwide effects of the Covid-19 pandemic have been felt in all aspects of life, including social sciences research.
this study examines how western science, society and government agencies dealt with an upheaval shaking the foundations of their societies to the core.
the research finds that the endless daily complications caused by the pandemic in industrial-capitalist life (urbanized, democratic-bureaucratic and individualistic), are the product of an illusory "imaginary" of modernity espoused several centuries ago and these societies’ reactions to the enormous challenges they confronted.
the research highlights the position of the social sciences in this broad process and explores the epistemological background of the questions posed by the social sciences and their relationship with society and its centers of power.
