Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the psychological effects of home quarantine as a result of Coronavirus19 on a sample of Syrians residing inside and outside Syria, and to recognize the differences in psychological effects due to (sex, place of residence, age, number of family members ,commitment to preventive measures inside house).

The sample consisted of (2817).

Researchers used psychological effects measure which was prepared by them.

Results showed that psychological effects of home quarantine on Syrians residing inside were moderate, The averages ranged between (3.22 - 1.99), That is, the negative effects of home quarantine from: future anxiety, confidence in information sources, boredom and emptiness, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, sleep, and aggression.

The effect was moderate on the Syrians residing inside Syria, and thus its impact on them was greater compared to the Syrians residing outside Syria.

Future anxiety ranked first among the psychological effects.

The psychological effects of home quarantine on Syrians residing outside were less than moderate, The averages ranged between (3.20 - 1.77).

Future anxiety was also ranked first.

The Results indicated the presence of statistically significant differences in psychological effects of the home quarantine according to all research variables.
