This study sheds light on the legal nature of defense orders issued under the Jordanian Defense Law No.

13 of 1992, which was published in the Official Gazette in Issue No.

(3815) page (586) issued on 03-25-1992, to confront the Corona pandemic caused by the outbreak of the Covid- virus - 19, and the extent of the- constitutionality of the measures taken by the exeunt authority pursuant to these decisions, which had social, economic and psychological repercussions on citizens, and limited the basic rights and freedoms sanctioned by national constitutions and legislation, and confirmed by international charters and treaties.

The study concluded that these decisions are organizational administrative decisions necessitated by the nature of exceptional emergency circumstances in order to preserve public order, public health and public tranquility, as it granted the Jordanian prime Minister wide powers and disrupted the laws and legislation in force, supported on the Jordanian Defense 1 aw which is based on a constitutional text, these defense orders are subject to administrative judicial oversight and judgment for revocation or compensation.
