Abstract EN

Thanks to the use of electronic means nowadays, the types of arbitration have developed.

One of these types is the “Electronization of arbitration” which achieves certain logistics such as saving time, effort, money and labor to finally reaching accelerated justice.

However, the issuance of the first arbitration law in the United Arab Emirates in 2018, which recognized in some of its texts the use of electronic means in the arbitration process, has raised several issues and problems that need to be resolved.

The first is the concept of Electronization of arbitration and distinguishing it from other concepts, such as classic arbitration and electronic arbitration.

Secondly, it is necessary to define the role of these electronic means in the arbitration agreement and process.

Therefore, we will address the definition of the Electronization of arbitration as a first topic.

The Second topic will cover the first theme: before the arbitration litigation and during it.

Finally, the research ended with some conclusions and recommendations.
