Abstract EN

The research deals with the investigation procedures authorized by the judicial officer in crimes.

These procedures are extremely important in moving forward in proving the crime and its perpetrator.

Because, in addition to the inference procedures done by the judicial officer, it is being the basic basis on which the investigations of the Public Prosecution are built on, and also the court judgment.

The judicial officer is the first to receive news of the crime commission, the first to meet the evidences proving the crime, and the first to meet the parties of the crime, including defendants and victims.

This research aims to study and analyze the investigation procedures done by the judicial officer, in light of the UAE Criminal Procedures Law.

This will allow the possibility of explaining all these procedures in dealing with various crimes, and thus confronting them.

The research was simplified into four sections and a preliminary.

The preliminary deals with the meaning of judicial officer, and what is meant by investigation procedures.

The first section was to explain the provisions of committing the crime.

The second section was to explain the provisions of arrest.

The third section was to explain the provisions of the inspection.

The fourth section is devoted to explain the impact of the Public Prosecution’s assignment of the judicial officer to conduct the investigation.

At the end the research concluded with a number of results and recommendations.

The most important of which is that the UAE legislator has expanded the authorities granted to the judicial officer in related to the arrest and inspection procedures.

Also, in order to avoid any negative effects of this expansion, the research submitted a recommendation to the UAE legislator to amend and add some legal texts, in order to contribute raising the efficiency of the judicial officer’s procedures, and at the same time preserves the personal freedom of individuals, taking into account the recent technical developments.
