The Ar, before and after Islam, did not need to set rules and provisions that correct their tongue, so they were late in developing linguistic investigations from other nations at this time.

Then when Islam appeared and spread in the horizons and the tongues mixed and the melody began to appear from non-Ar, a number of linguists set out to classify literature and linguistic investigations to correct the crooked tongues of non-Arin Arabic and correct the errors that had spread.

As did Abu al-Aswad al-Du'ali, Sibawayh, al-Khalil and other imams of the language.
