The aim of the current research is to find out the effect of using the probing, encouragingand transformation questioning method on the fifth primary grade female pupils'achievement in Social Sciences in the city of Karbala.
To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher proposed a null hypothesis thathere is no statistically significant difference at the significance level (05.0) between themean of the students' achievement scores of the first experimental group that was taughtsocial sciences by using the probing and encouraging questions and the second groupthat was taught by using the probing and transformation questions.
The researcher haschosen the experimental design of partial control in Al-Marqadain Al-Sharifain Schoolfor Girls in the holy city of Karbala as an intent sample of (75) female pupils; (37) pupilsfor the first experimental group and (38) for the second experimental group.
The data that was treated statistically by using the t-test for two independent samplesshowed that there is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance of(05.0) between the achievements of the two groups.
The researcher recommends the necessity of organizing training courses for teacherson the probing questions and their application in the teaching of social sciences, and shealso suggests conducting similar studies in other stages
