The holy city of Karbala is one of the prominent cities in the Islamic world.

Despite its smallness, it was famous in the east and west of the earth for its historical, archaeological, religious, political, scientific, literary, and social importance, since its pure soil embraced the body of Imam Hussein bin Ali (A.

S) in 61 AH/ 680 AD.

After the martyrdom of this immortal hero Imam, Karbala became a school of thought of a high and wide level of scholars, who emerged in Karbala and some of them came to Karbala, until it became a beacon and a platform for scientific, civilized, and cultural circles of science, and gave them the touch of distinguished buds of scholars, as dozens of jurists, writers, historians, and poets graduated from it, where their ideas and works had ignited with unparalleled approval.

The holy city of Karbala occupied a scientific position, which made us interested in studying it as an important center for research and study.

History tells us that Karbala, in the ninth Hijri century, many stars shone in its sky and dazzled with their bright lights.

One of the most famous of them was Sheikh Ibrahim al-Kaf'ami, a prominent Imami jurist, and a distinguished scholar of a high rank, and one of the notable publishers of the ninth century.

The scholar and jurist Al-Kaf'ami has greatly contributed to enriching the treasures of science and knowledge in the holy city of Karbala.
