Abstract EN
Since Saudi Arabia took full control of Aramco's shares in 1980, the features of its oil policy based on price stability and oil production in quantities that are in the interest of the producer and the consumer became clear.
In addition to compensating for the shortfall in oil supplies in crises, especially the three Gulf wars, Saudi Arabia has built this oil policy in agreement or consultation with the United States.
Despite some of the occasional differences that occurred between the two parties, especially during the era of President Clinton and President Obama, President Clinton had adopted an unrealistic policy based on reducing dependence on Saudi oil.
As for President Obama, his foreign policy in the region was unsatisfactory for the Saudi side, especially concerning the Iranian file.
