Abstract EN

The study shows the qualities of leading director from the teachers’ perspectives of the lower elementary government’s schools in Jenin City, due to the importance of educational leader in leading the educational process as required.

The descriptive approach was followed and the study population was defined to include 2023 teachers in the academic year 2019�0, where the depth interview instrument was used with focus groups and selected an intended sample of (36) male and female teachers.

The findings summarized by the consensus of the participants in two groups on the most important qualities that must be met in a successful leading director and the need to use them as criterion for selection and future appointment, these are the qualities of decision making ability, integrity, role model, good manners, adherence to principles and ability to negotiate and solve problems.
