In this essay we connect the international to the local in order to demonstrate that Middle Eastern transnational feminisms are constantly in flux.

Through the academia we connect microaggressions to larger power structures through performative writing as a means to theorize our bodies as both local, international, political and cultural.

We begin with a discussion of Intersectionality and Whiteness while connecting it to the performative.

We offer three key moments of experiences as Kuwaiti women.

How our bodies are disciplined through academia, how our bodies are disciplined through Kuwaitiness and how we can navigate our privileges as teachers in order to create safe spaces of out Otherized students.

We conclude with departure points and future trajectories for practicing a transnational and collective Otherness through intersectionality.
