This research paper deals with the social and legal conditions and psychological effects of syrian refugees in France.

The research is based on data from a ground survey on syrian families in Pays de la Loire region in western France.

Despite the legal and institutional framework, civil society and funding for the reception of syrian refugees, their experience raises questions about the social and psychological malaise of the new context of life.

The European and French political and social context has known last years the rise of radical right movements.

Also cultural differences between syrian and french society can lead to a cultural shock that has negative psychological and social implications for their integration into the new society.
