Abstract EN

The Surahs of Al-Baqara, Yunus, Hud, Al-Israa and At-Tur included verses demonstrating the challenge of suggesting an object comparable with the Holy Qur’an; however, it has been found that verses vary in terms of the amount of challenge and variance in proportion with the coherent context of each Surah.

This study reveals the aspects of proportionality between the verses of challenge and Surah in which they are stated.

The results and recommendations of the study included: 1-The Holy Qur’an is one of the attributes of Allah, the Almighty.

The attributes of Allah, the Almighty are unique, so the disbelievers could not propose something similar to the Holy Quran.

2-The verses of challenge affirmed the request for proposing something similar to the Holy Quran, which became an evidence of challenge since the disbelievers could not imitate the Holy Quran, or Allah’s attributes.

All Allah’s attributes are indeed unique.

3-Each verse of the verses of the challenge is correlated with the themes and purpose of the relevant Surah.

4-The science of proportionality has a great role to highlight the integration between the subject-coherent but different- positioned verses in the Holy Quran .

5-The study of the verses of challenge in the light of their relevance to their Surahs helps to understand the reasons for the diversity of contents for those verses.

Recommendations: 1-The applied studies of the science of proportionality and its significance of demonstrating the coherent context of the Holy Quran shall be taken into consideration.

2-A separate discipline on the thematic features and stylistics shall be provided.
