يعد موضوع سعر الصرف وتأثيراته على المتغيرات الإقتصادية لا سيما على الميزان التجاري وتقلباته اهمية خاصة باعتباره اداة ربط الإقتصاد الوطني بالاقتصادات الدولية و مقياس لحجم التعامل مع العالم الخرجي فضلا عن ذلك فان لسعر الصرف تاثير واضح على الاقتصاد الكلي وتوازناته من خلال علاقته بالمتغيرات الاقتصادية الكلية لا سيما علاقته في الميزان التجاري و الحساب الجاري و تأثير كليهما على توازن ميزان المدفوعات .و يعد سعر الصرف احد المؤشرات الاقتصادية و المالية التى تعبر عن مدى كفاءة الاداء الاقتصادي لمتغيرات الاقتصاد الوطني.

The issue of the exchange rate and its effects on economic variables, especially on the trade balance and its fluctuations, is of particular importance as a tool for linking the national economy with international economies and a measure of the volume of dealing with the outside world.
