Abstract EN

Nostalgia is an aspect of literature-represented home-sickness, home missing, and suffering, where poets have long expressed their own longing, nostalgia, and good old days.

Those poets, therefore, not only recalled mere memories, but, also, created images relevant to past memories, actions, and events.

Such memories uncovered a lot of detailed things.

Writers, accordingly, have used texts to outcry their sufferings and pains as they relate their own tales of native places, good-old youth, missing memories, and their own countries.

Homer, for example, in his Odyssey, did describe king Odysseus’ nostalgic, difficult journey back home.

Similar nostalgic images have also surfaced in certain works of Amjed Nasser.

This paper, therefore, investigates these literary images and forms based on an analytical, descriptive approach.
