هدفت الدراسة إلى تحليل محتوى كتابي اللغة الانجليزية الأردني والفنلندي للصف الخامس الأساسي في ضوء المهارات الحياتية والمقارنة بين نتائجهما، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم إعداد قائمة بالمهارات الحياتية الواجب تضمينها في كتب الصف الخامس الأساسي، واعتمادا عليها تم إعداد أداة الدراسة (استمارة تحليل محتوى وجرى التأكد من خصائصها السيكومترية، وقد تكونت الأداة من ثلاثة مجالات رئيسة للمهارات الحياتية هي العقلية واليدوية والاجتماعية .
واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتمثل مجتمع الدراسة في كتب اللغة الانجليزية الأردنية والفنلندية للصف الخامس الأساسي، شملت العينة كتاب الطالب لكل دولة بجزأيه الأول والثاني.
وتوصلت الدراسة إلى وجود فرق ذي دلالة إحصائية في تضمين المهارات الحياتية الكلية بين محتوى كتابي اللغة الإنجليزية الأردني والفنلندي لصالح كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية الفنلندي، كما بينت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في تضمين المجالات الرئيسة للمهارات الحياتية بين محتوى كتابي اللغة الإنجليزية الأردني والفنلندي؛ حيث تفوق كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية الأردني على كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية الفنلندي في مجالي المهارات العقلية والمهارات اليدوية، بينما تفوق كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية الفنلندي على كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية الأردني في مجال المهارات الاجتماعية.
English Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the content in the two-5th basic grade English textbook of Jordan and Finland in light of life skills and compare their results.
To achieve the aim of the study, the list of life skills was prepared which has to be included in the 5th basic grade, the tool of the study (content analysis card) was prepared depending on the list, and the psychometric properties have been verified, it consisted of three main areas of life skills: mental, manual, and social.
The study used the descriptive and content analysis methods; the sample of the study was the whole 5th basic grade English textbooks of Jordan and Finland.
The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the degree of inclusion of overall life skills in the 5th basic grade English textbook between Jordan and Finland in favor of the Finnish book, and the result also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the degree of inclusion of the main areas life skills in the 5th basic grade English textbook between Jordan and Finland; where the Jordanian English textbook surpassed the Finnish English textbook in both mental and manual skills.
However, the Finnish English textbook surpassed the Jordanian English textbook in social skills.
