Abstract EN

Human trafficking is one of the most heinous crimes that humanity has ever faced, as it involves a violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

currently, it is the third largest illegal trade in the world, after drug and arms trafficking.

the gravity of this crime has significantly escalated in today’s world.

this is due to the prevalence of internal and international trouble spots of armed conflict, the deterioration of economic conditions in some countries, particularly in the third world, and the high rate of poverty and unemployment, as well as the tremendous development in communication means that facilitated the movement of people and money, thereby making it a more serious offense.

this transnational and organized crime has become a concern for the international community, which uses all available resources to combat it.

this study investigates the legal methods established by the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one of the largest and most influential countries in the middle east with the highest proportion of expatriate workers.

this is accomplished by reviewing these procedures at both the level of Saudi laws and the level of international law.

the study concludes that these legal procedures are consistent with international law, defines the efficiency of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in combating this crime, and identifies the deficiencies that need to be addressed to strengthen the kingdom's position within this framework.
