Abstract EN

Human trafficking is one of the most serious offences committed against humanity.

this crime has had a harmful effect on human dignity and rights, including forced labor, sexual exploitation, and slavery.

in fact, these crimes turn to be more serious when they target people with disabilities.

therefore, this research was conducted to emphasize the responsibility of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in safeguarding individuals with disabilities from human trafficking.

in addition to signing many international treaties, disabled individuals are safeguarded from human trafficking through a variety of means, including national and international legislation as well as enforcement organizations.

the study focuses on the provisions recognized by Saudi regulations for combatting human trafficking and their ability to protect disabled individuals from the crime of human trafficking.

furthermore, international treaties aimed at preventing this crime will be examined to determine whether or not they sufficiently safeguarded the disabled people.

the study, therefore, uses a descriptive analytical approach based on the description and analysis of legal texts related to the protection of disabled individuals from crimes of human trafficking, whether they are stated in Saudi laws or international conventions.

therefore, policymakers are urged to prioritize future measures to protect individuals with disabilities from this type of criminal behavior.
