Abstract EN

The purpose of the current study is to find out the social factors associated with crimes of human trafficking in Saudi society by identifying the patterns of these crimes, revealing their characteristics, as well as the factors associated with them and the appropriate mechanisms to reduce them.

in addition, the study aims to find out if there are statistically significant differences between the responses of the respondents due to social, cultural, and economic factors.

as part of the study's theoretical framework, researchers examined how human trafficking has evolved historically, as well as the various characteristics, implications, and mechanisms for combating it.

the theories that explain the subject of the study, as well as earlier studies were examined.

this study is one of the descriptive and analytical studies from a methodological standpoint.

it employed a comprehensive inventory method that included a social survey.

human trafficking victims placed in shelters around the kingdom were invited to fill the survey between January and march of 2021, resulting in a total of 121 responses.

according to the findings, the respondents match the patterns of human trafficking, the profiles of victims and the circumstances linked with them, as well as the appropriate mechanisms for reducing these crimes.

the findings also revealed the impact of social, cultural, and economic factors on human trafficking crimes, as well as their relationship to the victims' nationality, educational level, and legal status.

based on these findings, the study proposed that international collaboration be improved in order to detect human trafficking criminals and that Saudi labor laws regulating contractual labor relations be reconsidered.

it also recommends that field visits to work accommodations be made in order to detect the violations linked to these crimes.
