The Hellenistic Period is one of the important Periods in the history of Mesopotamia, but unfortunately it did not receive the necessary accusation from the archaeologists, so we had the opportunity to obtain a good collection of (the confiscated pieces of Hellenistic pottery dolls from the Iraqi Museum), and after careful examination and scrutiny, a number of these were selected Pottery dolls to be the subject of the presented research, and the research included an applied study of all the details of these dolls, such as photographing and drawing the figures of illustrative dolls, as well as their museum numbers, as well as their measurements, colors and condition, and since any study needs to make a comparison of these pieces of art in order to verify and stand on the technical and artistic advantages, and the ratio of these pieces to the civilized role they belong to, the study of these dolls has adopted the descriptive and analytical archaeological method, we must provide a definition of these dolls and their importance in archaeological studies.

In this regard, in addition to the fact that it played an important role in expressing human thoughts and perceptions and the maturity of his perceptions during ancient times, and that its uses went beyond one purpose.

Including votive gifts to the temple, as well as for the purposes of worship in homes, and others related to the worship of the dead as the property of the deceased, which has a magical power to protect it as it is placed in the grave or on the surface of the grave, and another part is used for decorative purposes, and some of it is used as toys and other purposes.

The research includes several topics, the first topic: an overview of the Hellenistic art in the land of the two countries.

The second topic included: the technique of higher work pottery pottery dolls.

As for the third topic, it includes an analytical study of the study's dummies: we have raised in our study the research and presented it to a number of important specialized sources that included general and large information from the subject, which they obtained by analysis, recording and deductive study accordingly in line with the nature of the topic, its content and the scientific truth on which the research was based.
