Abstract EN

The study aimed to analyze Saudi Arabia’s economic and social strengths, determine the extent of their response to Vision 2030, identify the economic and social challenges it faces, and propose a strategic vision to address these challenges and obstacles in order to promote sustainable development.

The study included all employees of the Ministry of Economy and Planning (289 employees) and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (22000 employees), totaling (167) and (378) employees, respectively, for a total sample size of (545).

The study adopts the descriptive, analytical, and historical approach, with data and information collected through a questionnaire designed for that purpose.

The study’s main findings are that the economy’s dynamics of Saudi Arabia have been proven to be its key strengths, as well as the outstanding contribution of oil to GDP in addition to these long decades of economic stability.

The distinctive homogeneity of Saudi society, the stability and growth of social conditions, and the cohesion and cooperation of Saudi society, which is based on solid religious and societal constants, as well as attention to various aspects of social development according to various cultural, educational, and community fields, are among the Kingdom’s key social strengths.

The study also revealed how the Kingdom’s economic strengths responded to Vision 2030, with the most important of these strengths being a significant increase in the domestic product, a diversity of supporting programs, and the launch of numerous projects aimed at achieving national goals.

The study also emphasizes the importance of investing in knowledge and scientific research findings, the availability of information centers and databases, and the desire for creativity and innovation.

The most important aspects of the proposed strategic vision, according to the study, are increasing the role of civil society organizations and benefiting from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The study made several recommendations, the most important of which is to implement integrated programs with the goal of achieving the strategic objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as well as maximizing the benefits of having a vision in strengthening the pillars of economic decision in Saudi Arabia.
