Literature and art in every historical period; is derived from the social conditions of that period, so as a genuine source for sociological study of that period can be arrested sociologists.

Sociology of art, by studying literary and artistic works, identifies some of the conditions governing the era of creation of those works and describes and explains the conditions of that society.

What is discussed in this article is the cornerstone of art, "imagination" and its relationship to society.

It seems that understanding and explaining the influence of art and society depends on the discussion of the basic element of art.

How can the idea that it is considered the cornerstone of art take color from society and make literary and artistic works as a text expressing the social and cultural conditions of the society of the artist's time? Basically, what is the relationship between imagination and reason? Has the imagination taken advantage of reality so that the sociologist can describe a real society by studying the works of art that are born of this imagination?
