The concept of narrative has evolved a lot because of the great transformations of contemporary narrative works, as it is considered one of the most widely read works in the world of contemporary literature, because it is concerned with humanitarian, social and ideological issues, and perhaps one of the most important components of narrative discourse is the element of personality as a psychological essence that carries semantic depth through the depiction of community issues in narrative work, so critical and literary studies have taken a great interest in the element of personality and its artistic and literary dimensions in contemporary narrative discourse.

it is an important tool in the hands of the writer to help him build his text and weave his plot, and create his events in order to activate the literary work, as the actor in the narrative issue and a common factor among all units of narrative formation, so it was studied and analyzed by critics and scholars as one of the most influential and present narrative elements in the contemporary literary text.
