Abstract EN

The under-pinning purpose of the present study is to investigate the strategy of the cultural formations of self-image and the other within the framework of anti-colonialism from the perspective of the post-colonial, Frantz Fanon.

Frantz Fanon’s interpretation, which is based on psychological and philosophical grounds, led him to confirm the divisive nature of the colonialist institution that had divided the world, through its prejudiced speeches and discriminative practices, into two opposing sides, a colonizer and a colonized.

while the former is meant to govern the world, the latter is governed and convicted to serve the white master, only because of his black skin and genetic traits.

therefore, the current study focuses mainly on his “black skin, white masks” which is devoted to recount the pernicious psychological effects the racist colonizer had caused to the colonized people.
