Children are the most important evil in societies, so international and national legislation sought to protect them from all forms of violence, abuse and attacks that they may be exposed to, whether physical, psychological or health.

However, the lived reality accepted that the child is subject to many violations and flagrant attacks on his life and safety, and among the attacks that have affected this category is the crime of kidnapping, the latter of which has exacerbated its spread in Algerian society in recent years, and caused panic in the hearts of parents and Concerns over their souls, and the Algerian society was forced to live with its abuse - which led to the reaction of the Algerian society helping and a material to the need to intervene to reduce it, which prompted the legislator to intervene to confront this crime by putting modern mechanisms to the side of the old legal mechanisms in an effort to remedy it The deficiency that contributed to their complication of crime.

Therefore, this study came to find out the reasons behind its spread, and to determine the substantive and procedural protection of the child victim, in addition to the procedural mechanisms monitored by the legislator to protect the child victim, such as social and judicial protection, and the role of the prosecution and the juvenile judge in providing adequate protection for the child victim.

The notification mechanism and the national warning scheme to report cases of disappearance and kidnapping of children were also discussed, and the effectiveness of these mechanisms in protecting the child victim of kidnapping, and their shortcomings, were also discussed
