The use of social networking sites leads to wasting time among young people because of navigating through the pages of sites and talking about things that have no value or benefit, and the frequent and continuous access to these sites leads to social isolation and introversion and the lack of integration of the individual with his family and his absence from their problems and concerns and from participating in events and obligations in addition, young people are affected by intrusive negative habits and mental disorders such as stress, depression, anti-social behavior, low academic level and burying talents, activities and hobbies that develop the personality of the young man.

the study aimed to identify the nature of the use of developmental activities in youth centers in developing awareness of the dangers of social media.

a set of concepts (the concept of development activities-the concept of youth centers-the concept of developing youth awareness-the concept of social media).

therefore, the study used the case study approach using a comprehensive survey of all the (38) young people participating in development activities at the al-Gharizat youth center, and a questionnaire was used standard to know the nature of the use of developmental activities in youth centers in developing awareness of the dangers of social media, and the results of the study proved that the use of developmental activities in the instincts youth center in developing youth awareness of risks (social, political, and religious) was moderate, while it was weak in developing awareness of cultural risks.
