Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the impact of training using virtual reality and augmented reality through the Cospaces Edu platform on science operations’ skills among students of the kindergarten program.

the basic sample consisted of (60) students from the kindergarten-bachelor program at the college of education at Jouf university, where an average age of students was (20.58±2.09) years, with (20) students at each level from the sixth, seventh, and eighth levels.

this research relied on the quasi-experimental approach and the one-group experimental design.

the pre-application of the science operations’ skills scale was carried out, then the training program on virtual reality and augmented reality was presented through the Cospaces Edu platform for students, and then post-application of the scale for science operations’ skills was carried out ; then, the tracking application of the science operations skills was completed.

after statistical treatment with a set of statistical methods were conducted, the results revealed the effectiveness of virtual and augmented reality training through the Cospaces Edu platform in improving science operations skills for a sample of kindergarten students.

the results also showed that the effect of training remained for a period of time after the end of the training.

the research recommended the importance of training the student-teacher on the use of other types of virtual and augmented reality applications such as virtual laboratories in the teaching and learning processes, and much attention is needed to focus on providing more virtual reality programs and applications for students and training them to use such application.
