Abstract EN

The current study aims to determine the impact of health pandemics on family relationships of the medical team.

the study has been applied to a prospective sample of 97 individuals of the medical team, including doctors and nurses, in fayoum governorate, who have been assigned by the health affairs directorate to work with the cases directly during the pandemic.

they agreed to participate in the study during the specified period of time, and the descriptive analytical method was followed.

the most important results we got through our study is that, regarding the impact of health pandemics on the internal family relationships of the study sample, the negative impact of the pandemic, which amounted to (73.19 %), outweighed the positive impact of (66.7 %), while the impact of health pandemics on the external family relationships of the study sample, the positive impact of the pandemic, which amounted to (89.80 %), outweighed the negative impact of (72.41 %).

the most common social problems resulting from the impact of health pandemics on the family relationships of the medical team were : the excessive use of electronic devices for all family members, followed by an increase in marital disagreement ; then a lot of quarrels with the children ; neglecting marital rights ; and the intensity of violence between spouses increased.

the study ended with a suggested concept of using the crisis intervention model in social work to deal with "the problems resulting from the impact of health pandemics on family relationships of the medical team".
