The maritime law is considered one of the most important branches of the law worldwide whether in the Anglo-Saxon system or in the Latin system.

The importance of this law appears in regulation of all commercial relations that occurs between the states or individuals, also the importance of this law increases in shoreside countries and especially in the great coastal countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States of America and former Soviet Union.

From here it was obligatory for me to study one of the crucial subjects of the maritime law and that subject would be the bill of lading which is a document or a receipt issued from the carrier to the shipper to ship the cargos or goods abroad.
