Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the role of educational counselors in dealing with crises from the point of view of middle school principals in the center of Nineveh Governorate, and to identify the individual differences among the members of the research sample in terms of their responses or judgment on the role of the educational counselors in dealing with crises according to the gender variable (males, females), and the variable The number of years of experience (more or less than 10 years), the research sample amounted to (51) principals and principals of an intermediate school, divided into (27) males and (25) females.

To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher built a scale to identify the role of the educational counselor from the point of view of principals.

The mean according to the model (Mittroff & Perason, 1993), the data were processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), The results of the research showed a high level of the role of the educational counselor in dealing with crises from the point of view of middle school principals, and the results of the research showed the presence of statistically significant differences between the members of the research sample according to the gender variable and in favor of females, with statistically significant differences between the members of the research sample according to the variable Duration of functional service and in favor of managers with functional service of more than 10 years, and in light of these results, the study presented a number of recommendations and suggestions.
