This study aimed to identify the extent to which Saudi youth depend on social networking sites as a source of information on the latest developments in the health situation.

the verification method was adopted using the intended sample of Saudi youth in Jeddah.

the study reached several results, most notably : -Saudi youth rely heavily on social media as a source of information on the latest developments in the health situation, with a percentage of (62.79%), twitter has been at the forefront of social media that respondents rely on for health information.

-the majority of respondents (54.88%) use social networking sites to obtain information about the new health condition, followed by (25.11%) of the sample who use social media, seeking to protect themselves.

and their families from new viruses and epidemics.
