Abstract EN

This study deals with the contrast relationship and its impact on Arabic syntactic structure and its role on comprehending a text accurately.

the study seeks to achieve three goals.

first: defining the contrast relationship and clarifying its patterns and features.

second: monitoring some syntactical structures in Arabic, such as Mutiple manner to create cohesion, defining a noun by annexation, etc.

third: stating the significance of the contrast relationship for explaining the intended meaning, as well as understanding the Qranic context through connotations implied by word, and what meanings does this word bring about in mind.

this study is based on linguistic and semantic viewpoints and the perspectives of Arab grammarians on writing Arabic grammar rules, and the interpreters' guidance in explaining the contrast relationship in Quranic contextualusation.

the study showed that term (contrast) is the general term that includes many subsidiary terms that compromise two contrastive elements such as gradable and non-gradable contrast.
